This is very well written. I’m amazed at the ability to present a character to day and night. I would love to know from the 9-year old, what made her feel redundancy about the day and liveliness about the night.
Is this a representation of some philosophy that caught the imagination of the child ? Or this driven by the curiosity of pushing the boundaries of human experience by trying to understand that which is not obvious to the eye (the day is visible thanks to the sun … but thats probably also why it becomes redundant after sometime. The night is sparsely lit by the moonlight, a lot more that man does not know of, and hence to imagine and discover).
Once again, when a 9-year old can write a poem in a few lines that leaves a 29 year-old thought-provoked … the feeling is warming ! Best wishes
