Writing Contest Winners: An Autumn Adventure

Writing Contest Winners

The Mothering Matters writing contest, An Autumn Adventure, has been a great success. With over 50 entries, judges had a hard time choosing just a few winners. Our team would like to thank all of the authors who submitted such wonderful work as well as teachers and parents who encouraged the art of creative writing. The winning entries will soon be online, and the prizes will be sent by post to the winners. Please check back for another creative writing contest in spring!

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity for my daughter to take part in the writing contest, it was such a great exercise for her as she has not done any English since Grade 1, fortunately she loves reading! I am thrilled that she got a special mention, as she worked so hard on her story. She is devastated that she did not win, but this is also a valuable lesson in life. I hope that she will again rise to the challenge for the next writing contest. Looking forward to it!

    Thanks and kind regards

Thanks, Amanda for the positive comments. We’re delighted that your daughter and others could use their English through entering the competition. And it’s great to hear that she is maintaining her language while being immersed in German at the local school. Well done!

Thank you very much for the opportunity. My daughter was very excited to participate in your contest! Reading, writing and drawing are three things she really enjoys. I’ve just received the envelope and home and she doesn’t even know yet, but she will be absolutely thrilled with 2nd place! I’m very sure that this will also encourage her to continue and try harder. It is a great way to help children follow their dreams. I can’t wait to share the news 🙂
    Best regards,
    Michelle
